Its almost Halloween! Do you have your costume picked out!?

So last week I announced that I wanted us to run a race in the middle of November as a group, the Pacific Coast Trail Runs "Muir Beach" race on November 14th particularly. There are 11km (7 mile) and 17km (10 mile) options available to choose from. Both options are approachable if you're used to running the San Francisco hills. It should be a really scenic run along beaches and trails in the Marin Headlands. Also, compared to a road race it will be more forgiving on your body, and afterward we can grab a drink and a bite at the Pelican Inn to celebrate!

Also, if you want to make it even cheaper you can forgo the t-shirt to save $5 on registration. On October 31st fees go up $5, so remembering that t-shirt trick could come in handy if you register late.

Some folks asked if you'd need trail shoes, the answer to that question is no. These are non-technical trails (not very rocky, or difficult to run on in general). Check out this video regarding Trail Shoes vs Road Shoes:
