Congratulations to all the racers this past weekend Patrick (w/the Big Sur Half) as well as Terri, Rumiya, Lin, and Elizabeth for running their first trail races at Muir Beach! Quite a nice weekend, weather wise, for running.

NO Dean Karnazes run tonight (Wednesday, Nov 18th)! The event was cancelled, however folks will still be meeting at the North Face Store (180 Post, corner of Grant Ave) for a group led run. There will be prizes and a post-run happy hour at E&O Trading Company (Sutter & Grant Ave). The run group is meeting at 6PM, Ken Michal of the Endurables will be heading it up.

Some upcoming events on the horizon folks should be aware of:

1. On Thursday, December 10th we're having a run club pot-luck! We can store the food, and head off on a quick run. Afterward we can enjoy the bounty and hang out with elite triathlete Meredith Keeran Kessler during a Q&A session. I believe the intention is to shut the store down just for the run club (and any guests you invite). So we can enjoy the space and pick Meredith's brain.
2. On Saturday, December 19th we're having another trail racing adventure! Here's the Facebook Event Page for more details. Our first race was a great success, so we hope more of you will join us for this next one! Remember run club members get a 10% discount on their entry for these races (not too shabby)!

This week we're doing something different; we'll be wrapping up our run at a location near the store for an interactive sports experience. Its being offered by EA Sports as they're launching a new fitness program for the Wii, so our runs will finish at the EA Activesperience Lounge at 39 Stockton Street. We'll still supply the food for everyone, and I'll either grab everyone's gear and bring it to the EA Activesperience lounge or we can head back to the store when we're done.
